The Baha’i Social Society cooperated with the United Nations Information Center for the Gulf States and the Arab Center for World Heritage in a special document for the International Day for Tolerance, in continuation of the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain to spread the values of tolerance for cultural translation among the peoples of the world. The celebration, artistically prepared by the Baha’i Social Society, entitled “Unity in Diversity”, was presented by a group of young people from the Kingdom of Bahrain, who sang collectively with the children about diversity and coexistence, thus participating with the community in the active role of this group in spreading and consolidating the values of tolerance and peace. The audience attended a number of events from thought and opinion, ministries, embassies, and civil society interests.

Education course in the culture of coexistence
A delegation from the Baha’i Society, Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, in its Ramadan Council. The President of the Society, Dr. Badi’ Jabri, presented a shield of honor to His Excellency Minister Al-Jaida for the Ministry’s participation and cooperation in implementing the workshop held in April 2018 entitled “The Role of Education in Promoting a Culture of Coexistence.” The Ministry’s various efforts to cooperate with civil society have contributed to the efforts.

Workshop on “The Role of Education and Instructions in the Culture of Coexistence”

International Joint Day Evening

Under the patronage of the Minister of Social Work, Mr. Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, the Baha’i Society for Social Cooperation with the United Nations in Bahrain organized an evening entitled “The Civil Society Course in Working for Peace” at the United Nations headquarters in Bahrain. A number of presidents, institutions and associations participated in the association.

The Baha’i Society organized a social cooperation ceremony with the Bahraini Women’s Union. An open dialogue entitled “The Women’s Course in Creating a Culture of Peace.” Dr. Sawsan Hosni – a specialist in education and women’s empowerment issues – presented a topic entitled “Women: The Most Important Social Actor in Supporting a Culture of Work and Coexistence.” Professor Hoda Mahmoud – social researcher – topic entitled “Opportunities and barriers to activating the role of women”, and Professor Salim Boudbous – educational researcher – topic entitled “Childhood: The Future We Are Building Today”. This was followed by a workshop on the topic, moderated by Mrs. Tahira Jabri.

Celebrating International Day of Participation

Under the patronage of the Minister of Social Work, Mr. Jamil bin Muhammad Ali Humaidan, the Baha’i Social Network and cooperation with the United Nations Information Center for the Arab Gulf States in solidarity on the occasion of the International Day of Cooperation in order to spread and consolidate the concept of peace and the human values of coexistence, unity and brotherhood. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Baha’i Social Society, in cooperation with the visual artist Abbas Al-Moussawi, organized a family day and drawing entitled “Family Union.” Rawan Qomi presented a paper on the family union.
